Following the renewal of a key customer contract in January 2022, Pentagon were required to establish a Joint Venture with our bid partners Trans Wonderland Limited (TWL) to manage the in-country operations of the contract.
Having worked well together to agree the formation of the company through the signing of a Heads of Agreement, Pentagon organised a meeting in London attended by the TWL executive team. The purpose of the meeting was to agree the final matters for consideration and to officially sign the Shareholders Agreement.
To commemorate the event and recognise a first in Papua New Guinea, gifts were exchanged. Larry Andagali presented Pentagon with an original Papuan artwork depicting a Huli Tribal elder. The Huli Tribe are from the Tauri area of Papua New Guinea and are known to have forged links with other tribes through trade. The significance of the artwork was not lost on either party, and we look forward to developing mutual trade through the PenTrans business in PNG in the years to come.
This is an exciting time for PNG with several active large projects. PenTrans will play a major role in providing extensive logistics solutions to these customers going forward.
