Recently, the Pentagon Rotterdam office and warehouse staff participated in an essential training session focused on the operation of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and life-saving resuscitation techniques after a sudden cardiac arrest. The course, held on-site, was conducted by a certified professional who emphasised the importance of rapid response during cardiac emergencies.
The training provided hands-on experience with the on-site AED, teaching staff how to operate it confidently and effectively. The team learned how to recognise symptoms of cardiac arrest, how to best apply CPR in emergencies, and how to operate an AED to deliver life-saving shocks. The course also included situational training, with a focus on maintaining composure under pressure, an essential skill in any emergency.
Our team are now equipped with the skills to respond effectively to emergencies and the knowledge to potentially save lives in and out of the workplace. We’re proud of the team’s commitment to fostering a safe environment and encourage everyone to stay informed and trained in first aid and emergency response procedures. Together, we can make a difference.
