Role Overview
The Receiving/Checking Agent is responsible for monitoring and addressing all emails and matters concerning the receiving and checking teams. This position requires an individual with strong time management, written and verbal communication skills, and organizational skills. This position will primarily work on a computer in an non-climate controlled ware house, reporting to the Checking and Receiving supervisor.
What we’re looking for
The Receiving/Checking Agent is responsible and accountable for (but not limited to) the following:
- Work closely with the receiving and checking leads to resolve discrepancies and issues with procedures
- Monitor checking and receiving emails for any questions, concerns, and requests sent to the warehouse.
- Coordinate with checking and receiving supervisors to address all requests in a timely manner.
- Scan and upload all completed jobs into its corresponding file within Insight.
- Store all uploaded documents in chronological order.
- Review data for errors, correct any inconsistencies and monitor Insight.
- Verify accuracy and sort requests according to their priorities to prepare data to present for checking and receiving teams.
- Maintain operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes and issues.
Selection Criteria – Essential
- Minimum 2 years’ experience within a warehouse environment.
- High level communication, organizational, and relationship skills.
- Basic understanding of Insight and Outlook
- Quality typing and intermediate computer skills
- Well organized logical thinker who can manage multiple tasks and complex and unique issues.
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
- Basic reading, writing and mathematics skills.
- Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions associated with working in a warehouse.
- High level customer service skills.
- Positive and professional attitude.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced work environment
Qualifications / Licenses
Able to wear all PPE as required.
- Maintain current unrestricted Texas drivers’ license and acceptable driving record.
- Demonstrates the ability to work safely and attends safety meetings as required.
- Pass TSA Background Check.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
