Pentagon UK successfully completed the first stage of a new contract to transport a modular drilling rig from New Plymouth, New Zealand, to Peterhead, Scotland. 💪
The Pentagon project team spent the last few months on the ground in New Plymouth to oversee and manage the export preparations.
The rig departed New Plymouth on 15 August aboard the Pentagon-chartered vessel and is expected to arrive in Peterhead in September. The rig will undergo a 10-month refit before commencing a 2-year drilling campaign in the UK Continental Shelf.
This is the third time that Pentagon has been entrusted to transport the rig to and from New Zealand since 2014. 👀
